OUR RANCH

FAMILY-OWNED AND OPERATED

Although the name has changed several times, the family that has been operating the land since the 1930’s has
remained the same. David Fisher is a 5th generation rancher and great-grandson of Robert A Halbert and Stacy has owned and operated HF4 Ranch since 2010.

They started with approximately 5,000 acres and have
since grown the business to 25,000 acres of owned and leased land. While they love all aspects of the business,
their passion for wool sheep has grown from honoring
their heritage to adopting practices that benefit the health of their sheep and the quality of the wool. Their love of wool inspired them to learn and launch their own wool clothing line that is made entirely in the USA.

OUR WOOL

FROM SHEEP TO SHELF

There are very few things in this world that you can trace from start to end product. After the pandemic, we realized that we had been awarded a rare opportunity to share our life’s work with the world. Every single fiber is grown on our ranch by sheep that David carefully monitors all year to ensure their nutritional needs are met, so they produce quality wool. We proudly employ a shearing crew that carefully shears each sheep with the respect it deserves. From there, we send our best wool to Mountain Meadow Wool in Buffalo, Wyoming to be cleaned and spun into yarn.

Luckily, Mountain Meadow Wool also provides some of our knitting services and completes a few of our orignal products. As we continue to grow, Simply Knitting Mills in New York City provides its vast knowledge and experience to help us develop new products.

We are ‘literally’ offering a source verified product from sheep to shelf.

OUR STORY

CELEBRATING HERITAGE, PASSION, AND PURPOSE

While there is nothing spectacular about our story, it is something that I hold near and dear to my heart. David and I are high school sweethearts that started this crazy journey in 1996 at after school basketball practice — well, I was practicing while he and his best friend were flirting with the girls. We dated for 5 years before we tied the knot and shortly after had our 1st child, Madalyn.

In 2007 I gave birth to our son, Weston, and we moved back to the ranch in Sonora, Texas. Since then, we have
lived in the house that his great grandparents built in 1939, and have enjoyed raising our children on the ranch.

It was our desire to raise the next generation to treasure
this lifestyle but respect the way other people live.
To achieve this balance, we travel with our children
from Disney World, Belize, Hawaii, and most recently Costa Rica.

Together, we have grown as people, parents and business owners.
